800

students, approximately 200 parents, and 40 teachers took part in HSE Day Open House in Voronezh.

HSE staff members gave presentations on educational programmes, lectures and workshops, and answered questions regarding admission. Parents were most interested in how to get their children into the university using Olympiad accomplishments and whether the results of the Unified State Exam need to be validated. The students themselves asked about the degree of openness and transparency of the Olympiad, the process of delivering works from the regions to Moscow, and the procedure for verification and processing. In addition, young people have traditionally been concerned about the correlation between Olympiad areas of specialization and educational programmes at the university, as well as the number of state-funded places for students.
